WELCOME TO BLUE CROSS ARENA

Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial is proudly managed by VenuWorks, an employee-owned venue management company dedicated to delivering exceptional live entertainment experiences and strengthening community connections. In partnership with the City of Rochester, VenuWorks oversees all operations, event management, and guest services at the arena.

Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for every guest. Please review the following information to help make your visit as smooth as possible.


GENERAL POLICIES

For the comfort and safety of all guests, Blue Cross Arena enforces venue policies consistent with VenuWorks standards and event promoter requirements. Policies may vary by event.

Guests are subject to screening upon entry. Re-entry is not permitted once you have exited the arena. Outside food, beverages, and alcohol are not allowed. Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are prohibited inside the facility.


BAG POLICY

Small personal bags, clutches, and purses are permitted. Backpacks, large totes, and oversized bags are not allowed. All items are subject to inspection upon entry. Guests are encouraged to bring only essential items to help expedite the screening process.


CAMERA POLICY

Cameras with detachable or professional lenses are not permitted unless specifically authorized by the event promoter. Flash photography, tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Policies may vary depending on the event.


PROHIBITED ITEMS

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the following items are not permitted inside Blue Cross Arena:

• Weapons of any kind (including knives, firearms, and pepper spray)
• Fireworks, explosives, or flammable materials
• Outside food, beverages, alcohol, or coolers
• Laser pointers, flashlights, or strobe devices
• Air horns, noisemakers, or whistles
• Drones or unmanned aerial devices
• Professional cameras or recording equipment without authorization
• Tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks
• Signs or banners larger than 11” x 17”
• Any item deemed unsafe or disruptive by venue management or event security

All guests are subject to search upon entry. Prohibited items may be confiscated and will not be returned. Policies are subject to change based on event promoter or security requirements.


TICKETS AND BOX OFFICE

Tickets for all events at Blue Cross Arena may be purchased online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Blue Cross Arena Box Office. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless an event is officially canceled or rescheduled.

ACCESSIBILITY

Blue Cross Arena is ADA accessible. Designated seating, restrooms, and parking spaces are available for guests with disabilities. Please notify the Box Office at the time of purchase if you require special accommodations. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome.


GUEST SERVICES

The Guest Services Desk, located on the main concourse, is available to assist with lost and found, accessibility information, and general inquiries during events. Our team is trained under VenuWorks guest experience standards to ensure courteous and professional service for every visitor.


PARKING AND ENTRY

Parking is available in nearby garages and lots surrounding the arena. Accessible parking spaces are provided in designated areas. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and security screening before the event begins.


CONCESSIONS AND MERCHANDISE

Concessions are operated by VenuWorks and its local partners, offering a wide selection of food, snacks, and beverages. Merchandise for concerts and sporting events is available at designated stands and may vary by event.


LOST AND FOUND

Items found during events are taken to the Guest Services Desk. After an event, please contact the administrative office for assistance with lost items.


SAFETY AND SECURITY

Blue Cross Arena prioritizes guest safety. Trained staff and security personnel are present during all major events. In the event of an emergency, please follow directions from arena staff and public safety personnel.


INCLEMENT WEATHER

Events are rarely canceled due to weather. In the unlikely event of a postponement or cancellation, information will be communicated through bluecrossarena.com, social media, and local news outlets.


FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS

Under VenuWorks management, Blue Cross Arena continues to enhance guest comfort and accessibility. Upcoming upgrades include improvements to concessions, seating, and amenities as part of the City of Rochester’s ROC the Riverway initiative.
